It’s heartening to see kids of other schools coming,
To partake in competitions of painting,

And as each school team is lead to their seat,
I am reminded of my own drawing sheet,

It was a long long time ago,
We had gone to Dowhill with great gusto,
It was for a painting competition,
And I was filled with apprehension,

We entered their big Hall,
I looked at the exhibits on the wall,
They were very very good,
But I was unperturbed yet in an upbeat mood,

Undeterred I climbed on to my seat,
Even then the table I was unable to meet,
I needed two high cushions to prop me up,
You see I was only a tiny pup
