I have a new contraption on my arm,
It’s to monitor my pressure so we can diagnose any impending harm,

I’m perplexed to see the readings shoot,
When only last month my pressure was no cause for dispute,

Now it seems alarmingly high,
And I can’t fathom what cause could apply,

OK, I am kind of lazy,
But the kind of readings I am getting is crazy,

It can’t just shoot up one fine day – well not so fine day,
And say it’s because of how much I weigh,

I would have still bought the logic,
If it was gradual and not so sudden and tragic,

Well now that the deed is done,
Can’t brood over the whys under the sun,
Rather I must get into the act,
And erase this uncalled for fact
